Match on Main is a financial assistance program that provides eligible businesses with up to $25,000 in funding. Unlike direct grants, the funds are awarded through local governmental or community organizations, such as downtown development authorities or community development organizations. Application Information

Match on Main is tailored for businesses in Redevelopment Ready Communities® (RRC) and Michigan Main Street (MMS) districts. These communities have demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering small business success through technical assistance, training, and education. The grant applicants must be located within:

• Essentials or Certified Redevelopment Ready Communities®
• Select or Master Level Michigan Main Street Communities

By prioritizing these areas, the MEDC ensures that the funding supports business growth in locations with robust local resources.

Application Process & Timeline

Eligible applicants can nominate up to two businesses, but only one business per community will be awarded. Businesses must work closely with their local downtown or community organization to apply.
