SOUTHEAST TEXAS – The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA), along with the University of Houston Texas Gulf Coast Small Business Development Center Network, is proud to announce notable results in its 2025 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with Dana Espinal, director of the LSCPA SBDC, emerging as one of the top performers in two categories across the network.
In 2025, the SBDC focused on key metrics that measure impact, including total clients advised, new clients advised, jobs created, economic capital creation, and business starts. Among these, Espinal stood out as a top performer in two areas: jobs retained and other capital, such as grants secured for small business owners.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) serve as measurable values that gauge a company’s effectiveness in achieving critical business objectives. They are instrumental in providing a clear understanding of whether goals are being met and in evaluating overall performance.
“Dana Espinal’s outstanding performance in these two categories underscores the excellence and commitment that our business advisors bring to the table,” said Tori Rayne, deputy director of Network Advising for the University of Houston Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network. “We take pride in the significant economic impact and measurable success that Dana has contributed to our network and the businesses we serve.”
The University of Houston Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network is dedicated to being the first-choice provider of business advice and training for entrepreneurs and business owners.
